Damselflies eyes have a wider space between them than Dragonflies which are larger and extend their wings; Damselflies wings are held close together. Can you see the “focal” points in their eyes to watch me take the photo? Kathy Biggs “Common Dragonflies of California” field guide, $9.95 is a good book. Her classes w/ her husband Dave are fun at the Tilden Regional Park Garden.
