Anna’s interest in plants began as a child while collecting wild blackberries with her mom and sister on Mt. Davidson in the heart of San Francisco where she grew up. She fondly recalls the mountain’s wild green lushness and creating stories about imaginary forest trolls living there.
Working at the Scarlet Sage Herb Co. in SF for many years strengthened her connection to plants and natural healing. She has studied and practiced herbalism over the past 11 years. Her Shiatsu training background further deepened an energetic understanding of the body with its amazing healing abilities.
Her herbal certification includes studying and teaching at the Ohlone Herbal Center in Berkeley where she also is on the faculty. Her certification also includes work with Kami McBride, Christopher Hobbs, The California School of Herbal Studies, the Boston Shiatsu School, Heartwood Institute and Craniosacral studies with Jim Gilkensen. She has completed further studies in plant identification at SF State University.
Anna has enjoyed volunteering at the Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic, a low-cost clinic for women with cancer.
A docent and volunteer at the SF Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park, Anna also leads herb walks there on medicinal plants and their botany. She enjoys sharing her eclectic approach to wellness with others through the use of herbs and other integrative modalities.
Anna currently sees clients at her office in the Inner Richmond in San Francisco. Please call to discuss your health goals at (415) 310-8225 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you~
